It sounds like a title created for the sole purpose of alliteration, but it’s actually descriptive of where Overwatch Security Advisors (OSA), the company, finds itself. Begun as an offshoot of a software -real estate venture, OSA was the culmination of efforts to provide a security profile for multi-family properties, for owners and residents in need.
OSA discovered that management companies frequently thought of security as simply a central alarm panel or keypad with a couple of door or window contacts, or perhaps a DIY camera kit from Costco or Amazon…(don’t do it)… In addition, OSA discovered that such misconceptions concerning security could cost a management company as much as six figures annually. For instance, one of the first projects OSA undertook resulted in uncovering almost $400,000 in wasted funds for a multi-family complex due to various bad security decisions that were always reactive rather than pro-active. OSA was asked to perform an unbiased security assessment and played a fundamental role in determining the client’s necessary security needs. Instead of guard services, manned gates, roving patrols and other miscellaneous high end but high overhead solutions; we tailored fit the solution for the actual residential but urban location. Our advisory group consists of former government officials, school and board operations, multifamily experts, and finally, Law Enforcement, Military specialists. This gives each client, no matter the asset class mixture, a unique and tailored approach to design and budgeting.
Since its inception, and first assessment in 2014, OSA has grown at an impressive pace. While the company started with rental property management or retail asset classes, it has since undertaken contracts with various types of business ventures, such as schools, churches, hospitals, acute care clinics, and non-housing related businesses, industries, and government entities such as the US Air Force Base. OSA is a GSA provider to those who chose to use it. In recent years, it not only has grown in size but also in scope and abilities. OSA is a General Contractor, certified by the Better Business Bureau, AESBL and GSA for services sought. We hold one of only a few General Contractor for low voltage & fiber terminations & burial licenses in the State of Alabama for large projects.
