Perimeter Security

Not surprisingly, 44% of American households have a dog. I live in one of those households. We have a dog, a big dog. A 140-pound dog. He’s a great watchdog. He barks at strangers, joggers, stray plastic bags, etc. This photo captures perfectly his vigilant attitude. But it also occurred to me that it was a perfect metaphor for the work that OSA does for its clients.

Admittedly, the deer in this photograph are not much of a threat, but the ever-vigilant watchdog doesn’t care.  He just knows something is in his territory.

OSA approaches its unique mission strategically and in much the same way.  No threat is too small; no client’s issues are too complex for our organization to provide the type of security needed, including physical security detail, CCTV and surveillance, perimeter fencing, computer/server vetting, and employee and inventory protections.  OSA also works with architects and engineers in pre-construction planning so that placement and wiring designs are ready for move-in condition. Obtaining a certification of occupancy is, after all, very important for both the business owner-employee and the owner-residents.

The operative aspect behind all of OSA’s work is that we are not in the business of just selling a product or service to our clients.  We consult and coordinate the best solution options by carefully vetting industry experts and installing our own low-voltage solutions and cabling to ensure continuity and reliability.  We assess the property or other entity and provide clients with a written assessment and clear recommendations concerning their existing security profile. Upon the client’s decision, OSA provides options for the best fit to accomplish the client’s goals.

The other important aspect of our company’s profile is our personnel.  We have a full complement of experts. We tailor team members to each individual client. These specialists include former and current elite-level law enforcement, military special forces veterans, Department of Justice and federal special agents, SWAT team members and leaders.  OSA’s leadership team possesses 100-plus years of experience in the areas of security and risk and threat analysis.

Although we are proficient in all areas of security, our company began as experts in perimeter security solutions after an assessment created the need.  One of our first projects involved the installation of perimeter fencing around the property.  An OSA team made its initial site visit and immediately recognized that the fencing recently purchased by the owner was the wrong height and style to protect the property effectively. The client was able to cancel that initial order, gain credit and purchase the proper fencing to secure the property with the help of OSA. We are a partner to our clients and municipalities.

Our goal is not only to protect your property, personnel, and residents but also your bank account.  One of our projects once saved a client over $250,000 on a $400,000 total budget due to the extensive assessment performed by our OSA team on a large high-risk multifamily property. We were able to install CCTV, utilize monitoring-per-incident services, and cameras on the property to reduce substantially the need for round-the-clock security guards. A physical security detail still existed, but with limited patrols and the use of a rapid response program in conjunction with the city’s police department.
