In the USA, Veteran’s Day annually falls on November 11th, and is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of our country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. OSA would like to thank and acknowledge two of our senior advisors, John Pruitt and Curt Carpenter for their service to our country and community.
John Pruitt – OSA Senior Advisor – Safety/Risk Mitigation
John is a U.S. Navy veteran who achieved Fleet Squadron and Naval Air Station Command during his 27-year career. His military duties included Combat Operations during Desert Storm; and, while commanding NAS Pensacola, oversight of a large, complex and diverse Naval Installation.
He now specializes in consulting on security and business recovery situations – with emphasis on business continuity, emergency preparedness and crisis management.
Curtis Carpenter – OSA Senior Advisor – Asset Protection
Curt is retired from the Army National Guard after 24 years of service and is also a 34-year veteran of law enforcement. He has worked in almost all aspects of police work and currently is the Training Coordinator for a 160-Officer police department. Curt was the senior team leader on his PD’s SWAT Unit and has served as unit training coordinator, lead tactics instructor, and entry element leader.
Curtis retired from the Hoover Alabama Police Department in 2018, and currently runs Lighthorse Tactical, Inc. Curt was the ATOA acting president, and remains a largely involved in their training, development, and planning for new and seasoned officers.
